The squad hit up Bangkok Supper Club last week, and I have thoughts. I lucked out and got a resy via Resy notify at 7:30pm on a Wednesday for 5 people.
This was def a food mission over drinks. I’ve been trying to limit the amount cocktails I have on the week days. At least that was my plan. But then it took them 45 mins to seat us, so I decided to get a drink. I ordered a martini off the menu that I thought was interesting called, the STRAWBERRY TOAST (strawberry infused gin, sake toast, pear cordial, bitter melon tea). It turns out it was pre-batched. Pre batched cocktails are rarely good. They’re never made properly the booze to other ingredients ratio is always off. Unless you’re prepping for a high volume event, I think all drinks should be made to order (especially in a restaurant that only has 25 people in it).

So let’s make our way to the food. We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share, I only cared about trying the Pork Jowl, which was good. We started with these uni caviar bites that were like $20 a pop, and I’m not a caviar girlie but they were really good. All the food was good, it was flavorful and interesting. But now it’s time to talk about the vibes.

Any time you have to wait 45 minutes for a table, it ruins the vibe. Not to mention that we were there on a Wednesday night and it was mostly old people, business men, and tourists in the restaurant. My friends and I were probably the coolest people in there and I hated it.
To make up for seating us 45 minutes late, they sent us the two desserts on the menu. I live in the camp of, if you mess up take something off my bill, don’t give me something I never asked for. This being said the desserts were good, but I could have gone with out.
Let’s get down to rating. Vibe 6/10, Food 9/10, Decor 7/10 (Denny’s but in the 70’s)
And that’s that on that. BYE.
